Tom Babb has always enjoyed performance horses, stock horse events, cutting, and later team roping. He cowboyed for eleven years day working, running stockers and working for the Roble Lomas Ranch in Elderwood, CA. running 5 to 7 thousand cattle a year.
In 1991 Tom Babb when to work for V.S.I. an animal health distributor. He started and ran their livestock division and 26 years later he retired to try to improve his golf score.
Tom’s friend bought a Big Bend trailer and he was impressed with the though and craftsmanship that went into building these Ranch Touch trailers. Tom realized that he wanted to be apart of selling a product that he believed to be the best steel built trailer.
Big Bend trailers are custom designed by rancher Jim Dyer from Fort Davis Texas. Getting tired of his trailers not being able to withstand the harsh terrain, Jim decided to design a stronger trailer which today is Big Bend Trailer.
